Broken time

Watches are usually an interesting piece to photograph, especially old pocket watches. They themselves can be pieces of art and alone capture your attention. This photo ups it a bit by adding in good technique and a great edit afterwords.

The composition is extremely nice, there is just about nothing of the layout of the image I can really complain about. The fairly shallow depth of field isn't too bad, but I think just a hair larger, maybe one f-stop up, would have worked a bit better IMO.

The colors do pop very nicely, and while I'm not normally a fan of over saturated and over contrasted photos, it works out great in this piece, especially in the face of the clock.

All in all a great photo, that really captures your eye and draws your attention in.
